Several companies have demonstrated preliminary interest for taking part in the project – a Chinese corporation, a South Korean company, “Rosatom” and “General Electric”. This was presented by the minister of energy Temenuzhka Petkova on the Sofia Airport after visiting Turkmenistan. August 19 is the deadline for submitting the documents to take part in building the nuclear power plant.
"We expect great interest from many investors”, continued the minister. In her opinion that gas provision from Turkmenistan to Bulgaria has been a topic of joint interest for many years.
"Bulgaria and Turkmenistan are currently in a discussion for avoiding the duplicate taxation and for developing partnership in the energy industry”, added the regional minister Petya Avramova.
