The Aqaba process will be concerning two main topics: fight against terrorism and radicalization. Sofia will host both of these panels, said the prime minister Boyko Borissov after he came back from his visit in Jordan.
“The process has the support of Europe, the United Nations, the US and Canada. I and the King of Jordan will keep in touch when it comes to inviting other participators for the meeting”, continued Borissov.
Aqaba is an important process having in mind the complicated political situation, added Borissov and reminded of what is happening in Syria and Lybia. Tens of thousands fighters on the side of ISIS will be going to any directions possible so we should be prepared, mentioned the PM.
He also reminded that Bulgaria has successfully dealt with the presidency of the Council of the EU. As an advantage of our country, the PM also mentioned Kristalina Georgieva who was chosen for the head of the International Monetary Fund, as well as the new position of Mariya Gabriel in the next European Commission “von der Leyen”.
