In his opinion the current problem is the separation among the parties of the centre-right that don’t have seats in the 44th National Assembly. “They are currently mobilizing their electorate and nothing can stop them. I understand”, continued Borissov. He reminded what his third cabinet has done up to now – including the lack of migration as Bulgaria is a leader in the region and is able to help Greece and Turkey “shake hands”. In the PM’s words an expert cabinet is a beneficial, but irresponsible option for the state. “There is a dialogue between the government and the Presidency, but Rumen Radev is no longer equidistant or unprejudiced. Instead he is a political player searching for a partner – whether BSP or MRF, but it for sure will not be GERB”, added Borissov.
He mentioned the spy scandal from the last couple of days: “Several years ago I warned Putin that some actions are not allowed on Bulgarian territory. Our services are working perfectly – anyone who tries to spy will be expelled”. In his words the Prosecutor’s office and the State Agency for National Security are provided with information that allows them to take such actions.
