GERB agreed with open financing for the political parties; and also that BGN1 or BGN0 subsidies make no difference. This was announced by Karadaya in the Parliament for the media.
"Yesterday we introduced our proposal for the amount of the subsidies and GERB invited us to have a meeting this morning in the Parliament. We all agree that there is no difference between BGN1 and BGN0 for a single vote on the elections“, continued Karadaya.
The Movement for Rights and Freedoms are offering a model of financing close to the one in USA where parties get no money from the state budget.
The Movement for Rights and Freedoms discussed with GERB also the possibility of creating a fund for kindergartens, as well as no taxes for the state and municipal ones. The Movement proposed that the first installment comes from the spare money from subsidies.
"On the third place we offer that the books and textbooks for schools are free of VAT rates. This was the subject of our meeting and GERB agreed that parties shoukd be freely fibabced by anyone because BGN1 is not enough for the parties to pay for their campaigns and activities", added Karadaya.
